Dear,
Again here is a review of the 8 keys and your LESSON for the day...
#1: OWN your own business .
#2: Commit to SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
#3: Discipline Yourself to SAVE
#4: Look for RISK
#5: Become a PROBLEM seeker
#6: Do what you LOVE to do
#7: PATIENCE
#8: FOCUS on a Primary Income and then Diversify
Today's focus is to concentrate on Principle #6: Do What You Love to Do....
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe like you, I have listened to many motivational programs, read the books, attended seminars and heard, "You've got to LIVE WITH PURPOSE..." And, although it made sense at many levels, I often found
myself confused about my "purpose" ...What exactly is it? How do I decide what mine should be?Will it help me?Why do I need one?
A purpose in it's basic sense is like a mission statement...Maybe you've seen the movie "Jerry McGuire"...(if you haven't, it's a great rental and will give you insight about LIVING your mission statement - or purpose...)
Companies oftentimes develop a mission statement to define their primary purpose of "who they are" and "what they stand for".When we look at running a profitable business it's important to focus on our assets and liabilities. Many times when it comes to our own personal situation, we overlook this simple concept.
What are your assets? What are your liabilities?Instead of looking at this from solely a financial standpoint,
how about from a position of your greatest gifts, talents, and abilities? These are your greatest ASSETS...
What are your greatest ASSETS?When you consider liabilities, what are the areas you need the greatest improvement in? What are your weaknesses?
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Wealth Building Secret: Surround yourself with people who have talents you don't have.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
In order to run a restaurant, you don't have to be a good cook... Certainly, you can hire a cook.... a waiter... a hostess, etc... In other words you can find people to do the work you don't want to do...Understanding your greatest ASSETS and LIABILITIES are key ingredients in establishing your purpose or doing what
you love to do...In fact, take a moment and complete the following statement...I love to...?????
I remember meeting the radio host at NBC Radio in Arizona for an interview and he and I got into a conversation about his passion, joy and ultimately his purpose...I'll never forget asking him... "Doing what you do now, where can you max out- mentally, physically, socially, spiritually, and financially?"He told me that he was at his "max".I was shocked, because he is one of the most effective communicators I have ever met. My highest recommendation was to get out of the "Yugo" he was in and find a "Ferrari" that would allow him to do what he loved to do and likely take his life to a whole new level... He took the advice and put himself in a position where he spent over 80% of his time doing the thing that he loved most...In less than 19 weeks, he increased his income by over $100,000 and has experienced more growth, joy, happiness, and fulfillment applying this simple principle.... LIVE YOUR PURPOSE.... DO WHAT YOU LOVE TO DO...What is it you absolutely love to do?What is it that motivates you? If money weren't an issue, what would you do with your time?
EXERCISE:
Write down your PURPOSE and carry it with you.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Here's an example: I live to inspire, develop and empower others to live a life of success- mentally, physically, socially, spiritually, and financially...
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Read yours out loud before you go into your workplace in the morning and again when you leave.Soon you'll find that you'll be LIVING the PURPOSE you've created.True leadership comes from a place of "walking our talk". It's time for you to grow into the leader you are destined to be..
